QRever vs Lifetime QR Codes

Both charge once and never bill again. The differences are what a code costs, what a refund covers, and what each has promised if it ever closes.

Last reviewed November 3, 2026

Lifetime QR Codes sells the same thing QRever does: a dynamic QR code you pay for once, edit as often as you like, and never renew. It says it launched in 2024, is run by QRTRAC LLC alongside QRTRAC’s enterprise QR platform, and includes hosted pages — menus, business cards, PDFs, galleries and link pages — with every code.

So this isn’t a page about subscriptions. Neither product switches a code off because a bill went unpaid; there is no second bill. The differences are narrower and more practical: what one code costs, how the price falls as you buy more, what you can get back if it isn’t for you, and what each company has written down about closing.

Lifetime QR Codes’ prices are its published volume tiers, in US dollars; for quantities between tiers this assumes the cheapest mix. QRever costs less for any order up to 938 codes; from 939 codes up, Lifetime QR Codes’ tiers cost less. Its optional custom domain is a recurring charge on top.

The long run

What happens if either company closes

With a pay-once product nobody stops paying, so the long-run question is about the company. Lifetime QR Codes says it deactivates a paid code only for abuse, illegal content or a legal requirement, never for non-payment. QRever doesn’t switch paid codes off over money either — there is no billing to lapse.

Here Lifetime QR Codes has written down more than we have. It promises at least 120 days’ notice by email, then 10 years of redirects and hosted pages after the shutdown date, a full export of code IDs and destinations, and help moving them. It says a reserve fund, refilled each year to cover 11 years of costs, pays for that infrastructure, and that a buyer of the company would have to honour existing codes.

QRever promises 90 days’ notice and 5 years — shorter on both counts. What QRever adds is a Static Fallback Generator: for any dynamic code you can make a plain static QR of its current destination, which needs no server at all. You can move to it whenever you like, not only when a company closes. A QR Page can’t become static; its full content is in the export instead.

Choosing

Which one to buy

You don’t need to leave either one. A code you’ve paid for keeps working where it is, so the choice is only where your next code comes from — and that depends mostly on how many you need.

  • Buy QRever for anything up to 938 codes: each order costs less here, and a hosted QR Page costs less than one Lifetime QR Codes code.
  • Buy QRever if you’re in India and want to pay in rupees, by UPI or card.
  • Buy Lifetime QR Codes for orders of 939 codes or more, or if you need EPS or PDF print files, your own domain on the code, or round-the-clock phone support.
  • Buy Lifetime QR Codes if the longest written shutdown commitment matters more to you than price.
  • Either way, test before you print a run: Lifetime QR Codes has a 1-day trial; with QRever, buy a single code before a pack.
The verdict

Lifetime QR Codes and QRever make the same promise, and on paper Lifetime QR Codes backs it with longer shutdown terms and more print and support options. QRever’s case is price: one code, a hosted page, or a pack of ten all cost a fraction here, and stay cheaper up to 938 codes — with a static fallback you can switch to at any time.
